Surviving To Dream

We sleep, we dream

We wake up, we dream

As I took a sip of my Latte with whipped cream,

I realized how long it had been

Since I actually lived my dream;

After all, we survive to just dream!

How long has it been since we gazed at the starlit skies,

And dreamt of reaching out to every needy’s cries?

How long has it been since we enjoyed the chirping of the bird,

While we are filled with the zeal to be a sheep in the herd?

After all, we survive to just dream!

How I wonder, that I hate all of this competition for the unreal

But am a part of it for real;

I wonder how much I want to be a part of Mother Nature,

But am surrounded by way too much techs, spoiling my mental stature;

After all we survive to just dream!

When was the last time I actually lived my life,

Afar from all of this materialism that’s rife?

For if, by living my life and having fun I’m called mediocre,

Hope I could care any lesser,

Because I don’t want to have regrets and end up being the

Joker…

Let’s survive to live the dream!
